Trip itinerary

Do you hear the drums echoing tonight? You're sitting on the plane with one of Toto's greatest hits in your ears and a great mood to match it, and the next thing you know, you're already soaring above the clouds. The excitement grows within you as you dream of the Big Five, Africa's endless expanses and the powder-white beaches of Zanzibar. Have a good flight!

As you sleepily open your eyes, you look around in confusion for a moment, but then you see it all clearly: you're still on the plane, and it's about to land in Zanzibar! Hooray!

Bright sunshine, endless beaches and crystal-clear water – welcome to Zanzibar! You pop on your sunglasses and your island adventure can begin. First stop: your accommodation. After checking in, you take a moment to settle in and explore the resort. But once the sun starts to set, you're drawn to the beach. With a cool drink in hand, you nestle in under the palm trees and watch the sea as the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon. Cheers to the days ahead!

Today, you're taking a closer look at Stone Town. Make your way to Zanzibar's oldest neighbourhood on your own, and once you arrive, just let yourself drift and enjoy the vibe! If you want the best way to experience the authentic African lifestyle, then head for one of the bustling bazaars, such as Darajani Market. It's teeming with exotic spices, regional foods and colourful handicrafts. In the Forodhani Gardens, things are a little quieter. Stroll through the lovely green park and savour the delicious dishes at the street food stalls. Then spend the rest of the day on the picturesque beach. With sunshine galore, powdery sand between your toes and a shady spot under the palm leaves, you'll know you're in paradise! Sunset? A must! Dig your feet into the sand and watch the last rays of sun reflect on the water and bathe everything in golden light.

Last night, your dreams were filled with elephants, lions and other wildlife. Now it's time to make your dreams come true! You pack your things in a rush and are brought to the airport in no time. Almost as soon as you take off, your plane is already on approach to land. Restless, you slide back and forth in your seat, full of excitement for what lies ahead.

It's time for a game drive in Nyerere National Park, the largest game reserve in Africa! The morning air is still pleasantly cool, and the first rays of sunshine are breaking the horizon – perfect conditions for a drive to spot some animals! You make yourself comfortable in an open-top game viewer with your travel buddies for the next few days and take one photo after another as you pass giraffes gleefully stretching their necks for tasty leaves, impressive herds of elephants and mighty lions that have made themselves comfortable on tree trunks. After a while, you need to replenish your energy, and lunch comes just in time. You were so focused on the wildlife that you barely even noticed your growling stomach! Back at camp in the evening, you fall into bed exhausted but happy, full of anticipation for all that awaits you.
