A thirst for adventure wells up within you, and your hire car is ready and waiting for a road trip. But today, you're exploring the city and relaxing in your accommodation, which is right nearby. You stroll through the streets past the main sights, stock up on provisions for the coming days and rejoice at the sound of your inner voice speaking that one clear and unmistakable thought you’ve been wanting to express for so long: 'The adventure has begun!'

Ready for the first leg of your unforgettable road trip, you take the wheel and step on the accelerator. You leave Windhoek in the swirling dust, and the colourful expanses that unfurl before you send a tingle down your spine.

Before you know it, you're surrounded by the warm air of the Kalahari, and every now and again, a meerkat crosses your path. Where are you staying tonight? In a glamping tent in the middle of the wild Kalahari Desert! The camp lies between the red dunes like a lush green oasis, making it impossible not to feel at home. You can get all the information and maps you need at your accommodation's reception. Or take a dip in the pool and keep an eye out for wild animals in the distance. Maybe you'll spot an oryx! And when the sun hangs low in the evening, make yourself comfortable on the veranda, because sunsets simply never lose their magic – and certainly not in the desert.
